This weekend was a bit of a first for us as we took one of our laser cutting machines out on tour.
We were invited along to the Makers & Mavericks 'Make Good Trouble' event organised by Hiut Denim in west Wales. For many years we have etched their designs on to patches, for their short runs of jean design.
Hiut are such an awesome brand and bunch of people, to work with. This weekend, the event attendees had the chance to design their own bespoke patch. It was great to see the variety of artworks they came up with and you can see the results above.
We also got to listen to some of the inspiring event speakers who shared their insights into how to re-evaluate your life and business. We’ve come home with lots of motivating ideas.
David Hieatt, Hiut owner, recommends aiming to do ‘one thing well’ in your business and we like to keep that in mind in our work at Cut By Beam. The great thing is that we then get to work with lots of other individuals and companies who are also doing their ‘one thing well’. So the ripples of that philosophy continue out into the community and no single day is ever the same in our workshop.
