Cut By Beam customers are still ordering and we’re grateful for any projects that come our way.
Even before the lockdown was officially announced, we quickly introduced new working practices to enable our laser cutting business to continue operating during the current health crisis. In ‘normal’ times - there would be up to 5 of us in a relatively small workshop, plus the occasional visiting customer. It’s hard to social distance in that scenario. So we took the early decision for Jenny to work alone on site, whilst other staff swap in with her or continue to do art-working or administration from home.
Orders are coming in from new and repeat clients and, as usual, we’re playing a part in some interesting projects. They include a laser cut architecture model for a practice in London, etched baby teething rings, trays and application spoons for a vegan, spa lotion company called Scence (see header image). Plus a commission for wooden board games – in great demand at the moment.
Contact us if you’d like to discuss your own ideas. Our minimum order charge is only £15+vat. Bespoke gifts or small personal jobs are as welcome as larger bulk runs.
